YEEL fights youth unemployment to improve lives & communities!
We fight extreme youth unemployment by:
Turning startups into success stories
Engaging local communities
Collaborating across sectors
Creating young change makers
YEEL’s entrepreneurship training changed my life.
With their support, I opened my own tailor shop, which now employs four women. I’m proud to show that young women can succeed in business
I also started a sewing school next to my shop, where I teach women a few days each week, helping them build better lives for themselves.

Each year, YEEL provides jobs to hundreds of young, vulnerable people!
Climate change adaptation
Millions of people in the Somali peninsula are profoundly affected by climate change, facing recurrent droughts, floods, and environmental degradation that disrupt traditional livelihoods and aggravate youth unemployment.
At YEEL, we place great importance on climate change adaptation, recognising that future livelihoods must adapt and innovate to overcome these challenges. By finding new solutions and fostering resilience, we aim to build strong communities capable of withstanding the impacts of climate change.
